The Wanstead Curtain
Theatre and live events in Wanstead.
An intimate, flexible performance space at Wanstead Methodist Church, used by the Wanstead Fringe and the wider local community.
A shared Fringe venue
Made for performances, ideas and community.
The Wanstead Curtain was created in 2024 through a collaboration between the Wanstead Fringe and East London Theatre Company, transforming an underused church hall into a welcoming performance space.
During the Wanstead Fringe, the venue hosts visiting theatre companies, speakers, workshops, classes and other live events. East London Theatre Company is one of several organisations that performs here.
The space is at Wanstead Methodist Church, Hermon Hill, Wanstead, E11 2AR — a short walk from Snaresbrook station and just off Wanstead High Street.
